FULL-ARCH FIXED PROSTHEIS ON 4 IMPLANTS
2019. May 14.
If you have lost all your teeth, traditional dentures may not always offer the ideal solution. Replacing missing teeth is important not only for aesthetic, functional, and speech-related reasons but also for preventing potential health issues.
In cases of complete upper or lower tooth loss, this solution offers a fixed alternative to removable dentures—without compromise. The so-called Save-on-4 or Save-on-6 treatment restores the entire dental arch using 4 or 6 implants to securely anchor a full-arch prosthesis, recreating the sensation of natural teeth.
Consultation with an Oral Surgeon
Dental implant placement is a routine oral surgical procedure, but it requires thorough preparation. To provide a precise overview of the treatment options available, we require patients to attend an in-person consultation and clinical assessment at our practice. During this visit, we will take a panoramic X-ray and a CBCT scan to assess bone structure and anatomy. These diagnostic tools allow us to design a fully personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs. The treatment plan will include the total cost of the proposed solutions and any necessary dental procedures, along with estimated healing times and the duration of each phase of the treatment.
The proccess of fixed dentures
The stability of the dental prosthesis is ensured by 4 or 6 implants placed in the upper and/or lower jaw, providing a durable and secure foundation to restore missing teeth—helping you regain your natural smile. The implants are made of medical-grade titanium and resemble small screws. They are placed into the jawbone under local anesthesia in a painless procedure. Over the course of a few months, the implants integrate into the bone through a process called osseointegration. To bridge this healing period, we can place a temporary denture immediately, allowing you to avoid the discomfort of being without teeth.
Once the healing is complete, we take a precise impression of your mouth. Based on this, our dental laboratory fabricates a custom-made, fixed prosthesis within a few days. The final prosthesis can be made of zirconia, metal-ceramic, or pressed ceramic materials. At the end of the process, your Dentys dentist will place the final bridge or denture, which can be either fixed or removable—depending on the treatment plan tailored to your needs.

Save on 4/ save on 6 solution
The essence of the Save-on-4 technology is that 4 or 6 appropriately positioned and sized dental implants are placed in the jawbone, onto which a fixed full-arch prosthesis is securely attached. These implants are placed in the front part of the jaw, where bone volume is typically sufficient for surgery. By angling the implants precisely, our specialists minimize the need for bone grafting. This innovative solution offers an affordable and reliable alternative for patients who wish to move away from removable dentures and their disadvantages. It is also ideal for those who are missing all their upper or lower teeth. The full arch prosthesis, anchored to these implants, is fixed in place—meaning it does not shift, fall out, or cause discomfort, and it provides a natural appearance and feel. An additional advantage over removable dentures is that the upper prosthesis leaves the palate uncovered, allowing patients to fully enjoy the taste of food again.
